Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one, so that when we finally meet the person, we will know how to be grateful.
:icontenshi-uriel:
thanks...
its a sad moment in history but needs to be told
:icontenshi-uriel:
i took asian history with my minor in Japanese (language)
it seems all men can be monsters... not JUST the US, or even England in the past, or Rome or Spain, etc... nameless other countries
thats why i say we should have a matriarch
but in all seriousness; I think women would make FAR better leader (Just, Fair and Strong)
I'm not a Feminist (oops my spellings sucks) my boyfriend can vouch for that ;)
:iconmrslorivintage:
I agree, the government should have more women who are in important roles :)

It's true how normal people can become monsters, but I've also heard and read about this, "if a Japanese soldier with a gun goes to a Chinese village, nobody will stand out and fight him, because they are all afraid of being shot by the gun." and that says something.
I've read about other brutalities the Japanese have done in the war, they truly shocked me, and the fact that the younger generation of China is already forgetting some of the history shocked me even more. I read an article about how China is responsible for itself becoming victim, from the corrupted Qing government that was not able to defend the country to the normal people who were not aware about that they could do something to change the country's future. Everybody thinks that he or she is too weak to fight back and tries to tolerate all the unfairness to him/herself or others. Toleration and forgiveness are good things, but too much of those produce a mass of weaklings that are not able to even stand up for themselves. I would say it was a very wrong decision for China to cancel the compensation that Japan needed to give after the war, Japan was wrong and it should be punished. Even though the nation's poverty would lead to the innocent Japanese people suffer, but whatever, the ones that were killed in the Rape of Nanjing were innocent peasants too.
I'm not trying to blame the whole thing on China or defend Japan by any mean. But history is history, even for those who have not been through it, we need to know "what's done cannot be undone", and "forgive, but not forget."

beautifully put my dear.... hence my illustration tries to portray what you have said
'deaf ears' until educated beyond what society's want us to know and/or absorb.
:iconjakalgirl:
We're doing many videos on this...and are determined to shine light upon this forgotten history...although..as we strive to have more then just one page in a history book...some countries have purposely blocked it out.
:icongjkl345:
First off, China was attacked by Japan when it was still a neutral country in the war just like all the other countries Japan had attacked in Asia.Japan attacked from a suprise attack making Chinese defense useless aganist bombers and gunners.

Also thier are people who strive to keep it alive and yet thier are also others in Japan like Shinzo Abe and other democrats trying to cover it up.
