On Location Photography (new class!)
(Ages 15 through adult, AAH 2nd Floor Michener Gallery [1st class], 6 weeks)
Students who participate in this course will be photographing some of Central PAs most scenic locations, including Hershey Gardens, Wildwood Lake Sanctuary, Reservoir Park and Italian Lake. The course outline will cover ISO, aperture, proper use of shutter speed settings, and aims to demonstrate how these functions operate and affect digital photography. Students will learn the practice of composition and view points, as well as the use of natural lighting and reflectors to illuminate landscapes and other subjects.
The introductory class will be held at AAHs 2nd Floor Michener Gallery, at which time matters such as rendezvous locations, carpooling and transportation needs will be decided. At the conclusion of the sixth week, students will share in an array of vantage points for each of the landscapes and subjects documented. Please be advised that students must own and operate their own digital cameras and tripods (if needed).
